It is a legal requirement under PUWER that anyone who is involved in the use of an abrasive wheel is trained to do so.
Is practical involved?
No, both the face to face and online trianing is awareness training only. Training should be provided on your own site for the specific machine you use, by a competent person.
How often should I be trained?
Training should always be completed every 3 years. However, annual refresher training is highly recommended by the HSE.
